A shortwave radio for spirits

The big knob is a tuning dial. Most of its travel is static. Somewhere in the static are four voices, each speaking phrases assembled on the spot from a library of mystical texts. Hover a control on the panel, or a row in the list, to see what it does.

First contact

  1. Patch Audio Out 1 to your mixer or headphones. You should hear static.
  2. Set X to noon, Y about halfway, switch in the middle.
  3. Turn the big knob slowly. When one of the top four LEDs lights, a spirit is coming through. Stop there and it speaks.
  4. Flick the switch down to make it speak again, or hold it up to make it repeat itself.
